Hotessa takes Adama fire to St George; Hawassa, Sebeta ready to tango

Adama City go into their Ethiopia Premier League tie with St George knowing anything short of a victory will diminish their chances, while Hawassa brace themselves for battle of the strugglers with Sebeta.

St George are riding riding the crest of a wave following their latest triumph, a 2-1 win over Hawassa thanks to a brace by Togolese striker Ismail Ouro-Agoro.

They will be looking forward to another Ouro-Agoro striking masterclass at his favourite hunting ground, the Hawassa University Stadium, but there will be an even more famous marksman on display in Adama captain Dawa Hotessa.

Hotessa is known for his exploits, turning and twisting defenders and hitting multiple shots on targets, but St George will be well award of the threat he poses.

Hawassa have lost or drawn each of their last three games since beating Sidama 2-1 and Sebeta have not fared any better with two draws and two defeats in their last four games, a run that sees Sebeta just one place from the bottom of the log on four points.

Hawassa started the season like a house on fire and were early pacesetters, but it has all gone terribly pear shaped despite having home advantage along with Sidama Coffee. (All of the league games have been played on their home turf).
