Mujib Kassim came back to haunt his former teammates as he inspired a 2-0 win for Hawassa over Fasil City and elsewhere Wolaitta Dicha threw spanners in the works of Mekelakeya beating them 1-0
Mujib Struck in the 21st minute for Hawassa to take a 1-0 win into the half-time break.
Epherem Ashamo, another of Hawassa's summer signings added a second goal on 79 minutes to take the tie beyond Fasil.
Fasil had been riding on the crest of the waves generated by their 2-1 win over St George, a defeat that ended the unbeaten run of the Horsemen.
This prompted suggestions they were once again ready to mount another title challenge but Mujib and his friends had other ideas.
