Adama City trounce Sidama Coffee, Legatafo and Hadiya goalless

Adama City continued to find some joy in the Betking Ethiopian Premier League Tuesday with a solid 3-1 win over Sidama Coffee to move up to 6th on the log.

Legetafo Legedadi and Hadiya Hossana finished goalless in the other game of the day, a result that still leaves Hadiya in 5th, but Legetafo Legedadi take a valuable point which lifts them above Ethio Electric at the bottom of the rung.

Adama had experienced a renaissance in the last 7 weeks with a spate of good wins that saw them progressing gradually but then lost back-to-back games.

However, they won last week and this week, they showed their hands early with a 7th minute goal by Adnan Reshad to go 1-0 up.

They went into the halftime break with a 2-0 lead thanks to a stoppage time goal on 45+2 minutes scored by Amanuel Gobena.

Yosef Tarekegn has been one of the bright sparks for this Adama City campaign and he will not be denied another glorious moment in the sunset, as he struck in the 64th minute to take the scoreline to 3-0.

Sidama Coffee pulled one back and it wasn't one of their 2 goal machines, neither Yigezu Bogale, the league's top scorer last season or their veteran Striker, Salahdin Seid.

The goalscorer was Phillip Adjah in the 74th minute, which was enough to go downs to 3-1.

Sidama Coffee remained stick in the relegation zone with 21 points and on the 14th position, one place and one point behind Arbaminch City in 13th place having played one game more than Arbaminch City.
